To be fair, Rayner had a bigass defender in his face when he kicked it. He may have shanked it to avoid a block.

Yep, there was a breakdown on the blocking scheme. At least two players were charging.

I thought this too, but couldn't tell how close he was to the kicker. Does anyone have a replay of this play?

If someone did go unblocked, that is a HUGE mistake. It looked like he had a straight shot at the kicker.

Once again a game starting drive ending with a missed field goal killed the momentum of the offense. But,....

Medlock consistantly sucked all preseason and training camp.
Medlock was a left foot kicker when Colquitt was used to holding the opposite.
Medlock's kickoffs were complete shit.

You cannot compare that to Rayner's missed field goal.
