More Chiefs Trivia:

1. Who is the only NFL team (excluding the Texans) who has never been to Arrowhead Stadium for any game... regular season, postseason, or preseason?

2. Apart from the team in question # 1, who is the only other NFL not to have played a REGULAR season (or postseason game) at Arrowhead in the 1990's or 2000-2001?

3. Which AFC Team has not been to Arrowhead since 1993?

4. Which NFC East team has not been to Arrowhead since 1992?

5. Which NFC West team has not been to Arrowhead since 1991?

BTW, in questions 2-5, the Chiefs won each of those last meetings at Arrowhead.

I think I know some of these...

2. Ravens

3.Bengals

4. Eagles

5. Falcons

Am I right?

California Injun 06-20-2001 10:34 PM

Adam,

Why does Jacksonville come to mind for question #1? It seems we are always on the road with that team.

Chiefs Pantalones 06-20-2001 10:37 PM

Cali,

Its not Jacksonville, they played here last year and in 99 in the preseason. Remember, it was the game that Grbac spiked the ball on 3rd down and made an excuse or something like that.

Am I right on the other questions?

Otter 06-20-2001 11:50 PM

The only decent guess at any of these is question five. I've never been one to pass up a trivia challenge so....

1. Los Angeles Rams
2. Dallas Cowboys
3. Baltimore Ravens
4. Philadelphia Eagles
5. Atlanta Falcons

No snickers from the peanut gallery

Cody:

Not too shabby...

You got questions 3-5 right. Otter got questions 4-5 right.

The answer to # 3 is Cincinnati. We used to play them all the time in the 80's, but 1993 was the last time we played them at Arrowhead and the last time we have played them period. Step # 1 to making the Chiefs schedules easier is to have these guys on our schedule.

The answer to # 4 is Philadelphia. They came into Arrowhead 5-0 and undefeated in 1992 and the Chiefs and Dave Kreig beat them 24-17... the Chiefs raced out to an early lead off a pair of nifty play action TD bombs by Kreig, then held on for dear lifeas the Eagles rallied in the 2nd half.

The answer to # 5 is Atlanta. Opening Day 1991 was a Chiefs victory at Arrowhead over Atlanta.

Questions 1 and 2 are still wide open.

Jacksonville has been here for preseason twice. LA Rams were in Arrowhead in 1994. Dallas was here in 1998 in Bam Morris' only good game.

Mark M 06-21-2001 08:14 AM

#1 has got to be the Ravens. We've only played them once, and that was at their place, wasn't it?

2. Detroit Lions.

MM
~~Probably way off on this one ...

AJKCFAN 06-21-2001 09:39 AM

Mark:

# 1 is right, # 2 is wrong.

The Ravens have never paid a visit to KC yet... the records for the Browns don't count and Cleveland last came here in 1994, where the Chiefs beat them amidst a driving November rain.

The Lions were in town in 1999 and were beaten soundly. I was at that game and that game saw 2 Tony G TD's and a nifty TD reception by Joe Horn.

Again, for question # 2:

This team has not been to Arrowhead for a regular season game or a postseason game in the 1990's or 2000's.

That means they HAVE been to Kansas City for a preseason game.

Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan 06-21-2001 09:48 AM

I'll take a guess at #2

Tampa Bay?

I remember going there often enough, but I can't recall playing TB in the regular season, and obviously we couldn't have played them in the post season.

AJKCFAN 06-21-2001 09:53 AM

Misplaced Chiefs Fan is right...

Tampa Bay has last come to KC for a regular season game in 1986! Chiefs won that game 27-20 en route to their 1st playoff appearance in 15 years.

The Titans haven't come to town either for a regular season game since the move, but since Oilers records count with the Texans, they have been to KC, the latest being that Sunday night thriller, won by the Chiefs 20-13 on the Todd McNair fumble and Mark Collins fumble recovery for a TD to move the Chiefs to 10-1

Phobia 06-21-2001 10:25 AM

The answer to number 2 is Tampa Bay. ;)

Anymore trivia?

AJKCFAN 06-21-2001 05:01 PM

OK, Cody... I'll go with the one that was never answered earlier.

Who is the only other Chiefs player in history besides Joe Delaney to have worn # 37 in a regular season game?

Chiefs Pantalones 06-21-2001 10:43 PM

Crap AJ!,

thats a tough one!
