Wendler is known for breaking news stories even if they are not always true on Chiefs football and writing critical pieces on other football figures such as Michael Vick, Adam "Pacman" Jones and Mike Shanahan.<sup id="_ref-1" class="reference">[2]</sup> He covered Chiefs training camp at River Falls, WI in 2006 and 2007. Wendler goes by the GOATSE handle on the super football message board Chiefs Planet<sup id="_ref-2" class="reference">[3]</sup> where he has over 59,000 posts.
