Dallas may trade #22 AND #28 for KC's #5 to get McFadden.
Another trade scenerio that I heard on ESPN a few days ago. I just thought I'd report yet another trade scenerio for you to ponder.

HTF would we sign three first round draft picks?

17, 22, 28... not too shabby.

I have numerous colleagues who are big Cowboys fans....they say that a trade like this just won't happen...
FWIW, they say they simply don't have the cap space to sign a top ten pick, and to keep the guys they are intending to keep. |
I would rather have Chris Long.

Too much wheeling and dealing can be a bad thing. I like having a top five pick so we have the option of getting an elite player and also having the 17th that we can move up or down from (or stay) depending on who's left. I feel it's the ideal situation for value amd flexibility.

Never going to happen |
1. I don't want to move down that much such that our first pick is #17. We need to get an elite top-5 (or if a trade, at least a top-10) guy.
2. Dallas would have to give up more than #22 and #28 to move up to #5. Our #5 is worth 1700 pts. #22 (780), #28 (660) and their 2nd rounder #61 (292) is 1732pts. |

If they want a top #5 pick, have a lousy year, just like everyone else. F Cowgirls.

We're already in a great situation -- we have an elite spot and a lot of picks. What's the point of trading that far down out of an elite spot?
Take an elite player at 5 (or at worst, trade down a couple of spots and still get someone like Ellis at 7). Then you can still move one or two 3rds to go up from 17 and get a guy you're targeting, or stay at 17 and still get a good player. We have so many options as is. |
