Is Steve Octavian coming to the Chiefs?

Just heard a blerb on 810 on the way home (I just today found out we can get it all the way here in Omaha) and the afternoon guys mentioned it in passing. So I looked on the web, and this was all I came up with:

Steve Octavian will go to the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent. The Chiefs had a good draft with Glen Dorsey of LSU and Jamal Charles of Texas.

Affirmative. There was a thread about it yesterday.

Yep, Good signing. I'm also hoping that Purify has KC on his list as well.
Though I heard he was heading to Cincy later in the week for a rookie mini camp. The article also mentioned that he hadn't signed with anyone yet and he was going to visit about 3-4 teams.

Octavien is a talented guy, talented enough to make the team......provided he doesn't get injured for the 502nd time.

He'll be fine, He broke his leg back in 2005 in the 1st game. 2006 he played the first 4 games and then took a few off to rehab the leg some.
Last year he didn't miss a game. He'll be fine.
I think he will make the team and at least tear it up on special teams to begin with. The kid can play.

If his dream of playing in the NFL doesn't pan out, Octavien has talked with Husker team chaplain Matt Penland and his Lincoln, Neb., church about a project in South Africa. His own vision is to someday open an orphanage and homeless shelter in Haiti, where his parents were born. "I know they have major problems," Octavien said. "They're the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. My roots are from there, so it's a place I want to help out. "That's something I can't do without money from football. I've just got to use the tools God gave me."

I'm glad he's getting a shot, he can thank Cosgrove for being a worthless turd for not getting drafted.

He should have played MLB in college IMO.
