Storms in KC

I don't know what the deal-but there has been a storm on every NBA Finals game so far..

My first tornado siren of the year just ended.

It's amazing how accustomed you get to it. When I moved here a decade or so ago, I used to be terrified. Now it's like "siren. huh. Let's surf the 'net."

Is it bad there yet again?

It's absolutely POURING rain here in OP right now. 'course, it's one of my favorite sounds in the world, so I have everything off, TV, radio, etc. No more sirens tonight, though.

I'm actually envious of that part. We don't get very many good storms around here.

On the other hand, it's about 60 degrees outside, and I've probably only had my AC on twice so far this year, so that's a plus.

Believe it or not we get some pretty rough weather here.

It was annoyingly humid this evening before the storms hit. We're getting into the 80 degree days with 80% humidity now. Not my favorite time of year.

any tornadic activity?

BigOlChiefsfan 06-12-2008 08:47 PM

Weatherchoppers were showing tornadoes dip down and retreat back into the clouds, over near DeSoto. Don't think anything got torn up by them, but it's enough to set the sireens off. 4 inch hail reported in Bonner Springs, that'll raise a lump.

sirens are going off in town

my house is on a slab, no basement...no outside storm shelter.

just a couple trees, unless i want to jump into the pond and hold my breath for a few minutes.
