Got a Ferrari 430 F1 Spider up to 120 yesterday. Amazing!

It was the most exhalarating experience outside of a bedroom I have had in my life. The F1 is the the Formula style transmission which is a up shift paddle on the right and a downshift paddle on the left of the steering wheel.

You basically punch it and when the RPM's hit 7 you hit the paddle on the right. The monster has the roar of a race car.

I drove from Newport Beach to Laguna Beach. I hit 120 and then backed off. It could have done much more needless to say. The rest of the trip I was cruising 10 MPH above the speed limit and would get board and would downshift and punch to go 10 MPH faster for the fun of it and the sound.

When the trip was ending I was in traffic on a 50 MPH road. I didn't get much above 60 but I did get to that speed fast.

It's my brothers car. He had a 355 before which I got on much more aggressively. The pure power and sound of the 430 was off the chart.

If you ever have a chance to drive or rent 1 do it. It is awesome.

(Spider is convertible. Had the top down along the beach with 80 degree weather.)

Here is a picture with the same color except black leather with gray stitching.

These are garage shots which don't do the car justice in the sun with the top down.

I saw one exactly like that yesterday in Manhattan Beach. When that car is around everyone knows about it. What a machine

There were a lot of tourists in Laguna yesterday and we were getting a lot of stares. He says normally he gets just a few as people are used to them down there.

It was funny how everybody wants to try to race though. A guy in an Escalade was doing his best to keep up with us.

I think the last time I saw your brother he was driving one of these:

I have been up to 139 (I think, speedometer was pegged) in my car. It was in the desert, extremely flat and desolate. Still exhillarating and foolhardy.

I did 140 mph in a Dodge Lancer on K10 once when I was about 16. That fucker started shaking horribly right around 130. I look back on that now and wonder what I was thinking. Probably wasn't.

No. His Charger in the early 80's was the 2.2 souped up model. He has always been into cars.

We went out in Laguna the night before and he left his everyday car in town after a few drinks. I followed him home in it the next morning before I gallopped in the 430.

The everyday car is this... the AMG version. That was also very fun to drive.

I topped my bike out at 152 mph, but that was a one time gig, 'cause 120 is moving, 130 is fast, and 150 is just a blur. But of course if you are on a bike and going fast on this site you are a dumbass, but if your in a car you're a god, lol.

Nice ride. I think the fastest i have been in a car was about 125 or so, in a fixed up 69 camaro, damn that was loud.
