I still think that Parker is a player with loads of potential, whose confidence was shattered by a piss poor coaching staff.

With a competent staff, we have seen a little of that potential.

If he's given the chance to regain that confidence, we'll see even more in the future.

So, to answer the question, who would rather see Parker, the answer would be me.

The real question mark is Chris Thomas IMHO, but DV seems sold on him...

I'm sorry, but Larry Parker is a joke. Let him go to Washington. Derrick Mayes has had a great offseason with KC, and even made a huge play for a TD against Washington. I'll take Mayes over Parker any day of the week. I think I might even take J.J Moses over Larry Parker.

I still want us to trade for, or otherwise aquire, a WR and a DT that can compete for a starting job.

I could see the WR, but a DT? Why? Our DT's have played well, especially without Williams...

Luz, DV has a system in place. Unless someone becomes available that he just can't pass up I don't expect him to add to our roster at this time. And if he does pick up someone who is released I wouldn't expect to see them until next year.

There's no way Mayes gets cut. Only DA and Minnis have outplayed him at this point.

I honestly believe Vermiel was counting on Dan Williams to be ready by the regular season. It looks like he won't be, so that really leaves us 1 defensive tackle short as planned. Behind Browning and Steve Martin, there really isn't that much. I think Downing and McCleary will be tough as the year goes along, but Vermiel most likely won't wait for that to happen. I think he will grab a DT off of Waivers, but it remainds to be seen if that DT will be a career backup, or a Cortez Kennedy/Maa Tanuvasa?

Tanuvasa and Kennedy would both come cheap - vet minimum is what? 400k?

I'd bet on Maa over Cortez - because he played for GR in Denver.

Kennedy will play somewhere this season, there's no doubt about it. I think it was the Dolphins that offered him a contract already, but they pulled it away, because he wanted more money....(Per kffl.com)
