Surrender Planet

I've missed 2 Chiefs games in the last 15 years. Week after week I either go to the local dive, or stream the games online. I'm waving the white flag. I'm not done watching them or rooting for them, or supporting them. I am done spending every Sunday on them. I'll probably watch 4-5 games for the rest of the year. Am I the only one? They've given up, why shouldn't we?

I don't live in the KC coverage area and never have. It used to be a treat when I saw that my beloved Chiefs were going to be on my TV. I saw on Thursday that they were going to be broadcast on the local CBS channel and I didn't get that feeling but I watched it anyway. I changed the channel for good before half time. They play 25 miles from me on Oct. 5th. I won't be there. Am I upset? Nope. Will I watch them? Nope. I will always be a fan but I am also done until the they impeach the head coach and GM.

Watching 12 losses in a row will make you appreciate a W whichever season that may happen in the future. My loyalty to Sundays rests with this team no matter how much torture they put me through.

If I could sit at home and watch it I have no doubt that I would. I'm just not sure going out and blowing $20-30 with a bunch of people I don't really like anyways is worth it anymore.

I skipped today because they weren't broadcast locally and I didn't want to go spend time and money at the bar. I 'followed' the first few series on the internet and once I saw Atlanta go up 14 - 0 knew the game was over. The only thing I could think was "thank goodness I'm not wasting time and money going to a sports bar to watch that crap".

I'll probably watch a few more games this year, but I can't imagine us winning any.

Yeah it's like adding Anti-freeze to an open wound.

Other than the fact Carl doesn't consider me a "real fan" for not buying season tickets. I will continue to watch every game from beginning to end.

I did as well. Decided to write performance appraisals instead and it ahs been much more productive.... Work instead of watching a Chiefs game - there's a first!

The rock bottom moment has arrived. The last two teams we played were supposed to be the "easy" games on the schedule. We got blown out by both. Then today the Fins crush New England. I will use every cliche I can: the sky is falling, loaded revolver and shot glass, standing on a ledge, driving into oncoming traffic. This isn't going to change any time soon. That's why i posted my thread about "your second favorite team" ... a little pill helps every once in a while. With the Chiefs, it's the entire bottle.

This team is just painful to watch. They aren't even entertaining.

The more blackouts we have, the better my 2009 season ticket campaign.
Thanks fans, you're the greatest!

There's no way I'd sit in a bar with "Thinks Everyone Else Cares About His Fantasy Team Guy" and "I'm A Cowbay Fan Living In Omaha Guy" to watch this team.

I hear he always shows up late anyway.

I would have watched today's game if I had a satellite dish. But, I don't.

Even so, I'll listen via the miracle of interweb radio every week, if for no other reason than to hear the utter frustration and anger in Lenny's voice. I think this is driving him nuts, to be honest. And, I'll tell you this; if he has a cardiac arrest, he has every right to send Herm the bill.

"Thinks Everyone Else Cares About His Fantasy Team Guy"

I was that guy today, and I benched Ronnie Brown for Chris Johnson. So yeah. I'm pretty sure I was making death threats to anyone that was listening.
