No blackout: Chiefs will be on TV
Sunday's Chiefs-Broncos game will be televised locally on Channel 5 KCTV, even though the game has not completely sold out.

"We have met the league requirements for what constitutes a sellout," said Chiefs assistant director of public relations Pete Moris. "We got some tickets back from Denver earlier in the week and we have some tickets of our own still left for sale but we're close enough (to a sellout) per league rules to have the game shown here."

Generally, games must be sold out 72 hours in advance of kickoff to prevent any local television blackout, although extensions have been granted almost routinely in recent years.

Great, now everyone can experience futility and humiliation in HD!

I'm guessing they'll do like home Royals games and try to pan to the crowd as little as possible.

I'm sure the announcement that Huard is starting over Thiggy made all the difference in this game selling out. NOW we have a chance. Right? Nah.

At least one of the brokers in KC was advertising tickets for less than face. Can't remember which one though; although I am sure that if one is they all are.

Yeah I am sure the league just looking the other way now.. Would be in the leagues and teams best interest not to lose the local revenue generated from the game being televised..

Just wish they would come out publicly and can the whole damn blackout rule period..

Keading.. Chiefs fans have been putting up with ineptness for decades, they are trying to force changes in the front office..

Chargers fans will not even pack the house when their team is good let alone when you go back to sucking here in a year or so..
