Larry Johnson one of the riskiest players the Chiefs have ever had

At least according to whoever this jackass is on 810. A bigger risk than Dale Carter? Tamarack Vanover? Bam Morris? I could probably go on, but don't feel I need too. That was perhaps the most reeruned thing I've ever heard about the Chiefs. Anyone catch that? Anyone agree with it?

OnTheWarpath15 10-14-2008 02:23 PM

Par for the course when it comes to Kevin Keitzman.

DeezNutz 10-14-2008 02:24 PM

I heard it, Mr. Flopnuts. The only way this comment has any merit to me is if one considers the amount of money going to LJ. This greatly increases the risk factor in different ways.

OnTheWarpath15 10-14-2008 02:26 PM

Has LJ ever been suspended by the league?

Part of the substance abuse program?

Bowser 10-14-2008 02:27 PM

NFL WIDE DRUG CIRCLE!

phisherman 10-14-2008 02:27 PM

until LJ starts slangin' ditch weed all over, he's far better than vanover was.

Sure-Oz 10-14-2008 02:29 PM

His longterm signing was stupid, but at the same time with the seasons he had, we would've been POED if we didn't offer a new deal to him/.

Were these directed at me or just rhetorical?

Regardless, LJ is risky in the same way that sinking big money into the Priest was a risk prior to '03. Now, there is a slight difference because of LJ's rap career and Jay-Z husslin, which is flashier than Holmes' nacho-eating ass, but aside from this...

Lots of cash to a RB always makes that player "one of the riskiest" in a sense.

Rhetorical.

He is a risk, no doubt.

But there are several players that are/were a much bigger risk than LJ - Jared Allen being one of them.

Shit the trash Marty pranced through here at the end of his mediocrity reign was 100 times worse than LJ....

True. And he would have reigned supreme if he were re-signed.

You mentioned KK earlier, I'm assuming that's who I'm listening to right now. He compared LJ to JA which was the 2nd most reeruned thing I've ever heard. Larry has never been popped for anything. He's been accused of smackin a ho, but he's never been convicted. To me, the risk is nowhere near the same. JA is 1 too many beers away from a 1 year vacation. Short of killing a man, Larry isn't gonna miss more than 4 games for a **** up.

Deberg_1990 10-14-2008 02:47 PM

Ummm....

Every team in the NFL has "risky" players. It just goes with the territory. Alot of these guys come from hard backgrounds growing up. Alot of these guys live by the mentality of work hard play hard. Thats just the nature of pro sports.

Mr. Laz 10-14-2008 02:53 PM

Risk .... Risk, you fuggin morons!!

not worse player or worse character

you could add dale carter, bam morris,Anthony Davis and tamerick vanover's contract up and it wouldn't equal 1/5th of LJ's.

beside carter and vanover because issues AFTER they got the contract.

LJ could very represent the biggest RISK player they have ever signed.
