Deep thought on defense
In 2006 the following defense ranked 32nd in football and gave up 25 points and 370 points per game:
HC: Jeff Fisher DC: Jim Schwartz DE: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE: Antwan Odom DE: Travis LaBoy DT: Albert Haynesworth DT: Tony Brown DT: Randy Starks LB: Keith Bulluck LB: Peter Sirmon LB: David Thornton LB: Stephen Tulloch CB: Cortland Finnegan CB: Pacman Jones CB: Eric King S: Chris Hope S: Lamont Thompson S: Vincent Fuller Almost all these guys are starters or key subs for the Titans or got big money in free agency and are now on winning teams. |
If I remember correctly they also had a pretty ineffective offense that year. I really think that a decent defense suffers when the offense is worse than bad. This year and last you could just see teams pile on our defense and do stuff they wouldn't normally do just because they knew our offense had no teeth. It can make the defense look much worse than it really is, talent-wise anyway.

Wow, Herm is awesome.

:hmmm:
That is pretty interesting |
Print 'em!

so that means the exact same thing must be true for us...all our players are good because other players are good...or something....huh?
wait, what? |
What exactly is the point of this?

i think his point is that if we had different players and different coaches we'd be a much better team....
for once we agree |

or we have diamonds in the rough that will be awesome in 2 years.... nah.

I just don't see the point so they had some good players on their bad team, they added a few more. I'm pretty sure most acknowledge the Chiefs have a severe lack of talent in many positions. |
