Some good vibes are needed...

My wife got fired last night. The boss wouldn't say why, but we suspect it's because she found out my wife was looking for another job.

We're also dealing with some other things I don't want to discuss here, so some good thoughts from CP for well-being in tough times would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Good luck to you, and your wife.

Positive thoughts and energy heading your way.

Best of luck to you and Mrs. FMB. Hope things get better real soon.

Heh, that's exactly why the people who say "The best time to look for a job is when you already have one" are FOS. Hope everything works out for you two.

Old Dog 11-21-2008 07:35 AM

Good luck. Hope it all works out for you and the Mrs.

Good thoughts for you and yours.

good thoughts on your way, I know of no one in South carolina to offer any help...

Isn't your wife a nurse? She shouldn't have any problem finding another job.

She's a massage therapist. Not a nurse.

I'd file for unemployment (and a lot more than that) if I could prove I was fired without just cause. Wish her the best. This isn't the best time to be looking for a job.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck FMB.

She could go out on her own. Advertise on Craigslist.

She's a contract worker. She's not eligible for unemployment. We are, however, talking with the owners today about their blatant breech of contract, which states either party must provide 30 days written notice to terminate.

Hope everything works out FMB. Good luck to you and yours.

S.C. is an employment-at-will state.

Edit: Having a contract though changes that.
