What would you think of David Gibbs as head coach?

He's done a decent job with the young corners (considering there is no pass rush). He DC'd a good year at Auburn. He has some familiarity with the players and rebuilding process. Could he be the next Harbaugh-like coach?

Gonzo 12-23-2008 09:15 AM

I don't think much of it there sally.

Reerun_KC 12-23-2008 09:16 AM

Nah, its not necessary...

RustShack 12-23-2008 09:45 AM

Maybe in ten years after hes been a DC and assistant HC. Wasn't Herm a DB coach before he was a HC?

Dartgod 12-23-2008 09:45 AM

Wasn't he one of the BeeGees?

Is "Harbaugh-like" a compliment?

RedThat 12-23-2008 09:56 AM

i think he is the only defensive coach that is worth keeping.

I guess people think a young coach that turns a team around and develops a "reach" QB isn't anything to emulate.

agree.....let's make him DC and see how he does at that.

RustShack 12-23-2008 10:47 AM

I just want to throw this out there... success as a positional coach doesn't always transfer over to success as Head Coach.

Personally, I am not in favor of it. I am not against hiring a position coach as a head coach.... just don't like Gibbs much.

It's officially been renamed. It's now the Peterson Principle.
