Cowher's "demands" for coaching spot

I heard on the radio that he said he will only coach for 1 of 2 people; 1 is the current GM for the Steelers, and the other is a guy that works in the Steelers organization. He also said he must have the final say on who makes the roster and who does not.

I doubt we can lure the current GM away from Pittsburgh, but the other guy we might have a shot at bringing in.

Is it worth it?

Has anyone heard otherwise?

If Cowher is that much of a prima donna, I don't want him.

This.

Mortgaging the future for 1 guy would be like giving a draft pick for Herman ****ing Edwards.

I think the guy just wants to coach and doesn't want to jack with the politics of the business side.

Don't forget about the $8M he wants...

Considering we wasted $30 mil this year in un-used cap $'s, I would not balk at $8m.

Of course you wouldn't.

It's not your money.

Since when does it have to be my money to gripe about how the team spends their $'s? I thought that was part of being a fan?

I have zero problem with Cowher. he knows how he wants to work as HC.

Reerun_KC 12-30-2008 07:37 PM

Jesus the dude isnt worth that, with out lucking into Big Ben and getting the refs in his back pocket while he was sucking them balls deep to win a superbowl...

Hell no to Cowher, there are plenty of coachs that are just as good or better than Cowher that wont come with the headaches he will cause...

MIAdragon 12-30-2008 07:38 PM

meh. no thanks

Cower had his day as a coach-I want some young blood in here instead of all the retreads that have been mentioned.

I Can think of worse things that is for sure. If anyting you know what you are getting with Cowher and he does know how to put a winning team on the field. I can take him or leave him but I wouldn't be disappointed he we took him.

Hmmm? I am starting to lose a lot of love for old Bill. He is sounding like more of a pain in the ass, everytime he opens his yap.
