Wishes for the New Year

I hope all of us can find new ways to be happy in 2009 that do not require that others be miserable.

I hope we all achieve at least one significant goal for the year, and use that as a platform for conitued success.

I hope we all do more to find common ground with our peers, so that we can better resolve our differences.

I hope the price of hops goes down, so beer is less expensive.

I hope our children are all happy and healthy.

I hope our researchers find a couple of significant cures - not new treatments, but CURES to the ailments that allfict our populace.

I hope our leaders demonstrate uncharacteristic wisdom as the seek to fix our economic woes.

I hope I can fit into an old pair of jeans.

I hope that you have opportunities this coming year to see even more fabulous sunrises and sunsets. Here in Kansas, we've had some spectacular aerial phenomenon.

If you are seeking love, I hope you find it. If you are seeking a new start, may that happen for you as well.

Here's hoping that our fears are quelled, and we have a great year, one and all.

I've seen the Discovery Channel stuff on the Yellowston Caldera. Why we haven't tried to tap that as a source of geothermal energy is beyond me. You know that the moment scientists decide that the only way to protect half of the US is to vent the thing, the Sierra Club will file suit on behalf of Mother Nature.

My new years goal is to finish my first marathon (Olathe, KS - March 29th) in under 3hrs and 30 minutes.

The same bunch of jokers that won't allow intelligent harvesting of trees, then try and shirk off the blame when there's a forest fires that obliterates 60,000 acres.

You're a bad, bad person. ;)

Johnny Vegas 12-31-2008 08:04 PM

thanks guys, Delano I know you meant well, but I'm going to pass on it and drink the booze. It kind of made me excited thinking I could have one just for the accomplishment, but then it wouldn't have been one if I did.

Bob Dole hopes that each and every dipshit that frequents this place makes it to post in next year's thread.

I hope the new year finds you all slimmer, more handsome, more comfortable in life, and less experienced in the art of personal loss than this year.

I hope you all get diarhea worthy of a CP post.
