SECOND INTERVIEW COMING FOR KOKINIS

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the interview of Ravens director of pro personnel George Kokinis for the vacant G.M. position with the Browns went well.

We’ve heard that it went so well that Kokinis will be interviewed again.

The first interview took place in New York; the next interview likely would occur next week in Cleveland.

As the Plain Dealer points out, the Browns can’t hire Kokinis until the Ravens’ season is over, which will be either January 18 or February 1.

(Cue the Steelers fans who will say that it’ll be January 18. And cue the Ravens fans who will say that it’ll be February 1.)

We’re also hearing that another candidate could be former Jags V.P. of player personnel James “Shack” Harris. Recently, owner Randy Lerner named former Texans and Redskins G.M. Charley Casserly and Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio as possible candidates for the job.

I sure hope we have Pioli, this guy will make a great GM.

There were some people pointing to some of the Ravens staff as possible candidates for the KC job.

What if we dont get Pioli? This guy would be an excellent candidate. I care.

Well apparently Clark Hunt is planning on interviewing at least 10 candidates so if Pioli says no, then we go to plan F...

I keep thinking of the name Eric DeCosta from the Ravens in KC.... wonder if he is still on the radar.

Why do so many people get sandy vags over a particular topic they are not interested in? Is is distracting you from the Pioli watch thread? If it doesn't interest you, don't click on it.

He is rumored to be a candidate for the CHIEFS, GM position.

Because this is the Planet and not the Coalition. Football talk is welcomed. This is relevant since the people being talked about in Cleveland are potential interviewees in KC.

This I did not know. Theres someone other than Pioli?:rolleyes:

Im sure he will be gone by the time Clark decides what he wants to do. At this point I wouldnt be surprised if he just gives the job to Thum.
