I'll be very surprised if there more than a handful of people who are upset with the hire. While some may have preferred someone else, I can't imagine anyone being pissed that we hired Pioli.

I'm curious if anyone happy about this hire will have the balls to say so. Let the floggings begin....................

I have started threads on here dating back to 2004 saying we should fire King Carl and hire Scott Pioli.

I'm
A) Excited (ecstatic) about the hire.
B) Ready to give Pioli several years of a "free pass" type of situation.
and
C) Reserving the right to bitch the second he begins to consistently make moves that I think are idiotic.

It's just... 20 years can REALLY wear on a fanbase. Especially if they produce nothing in those 20 years.

People are excited for a new direction, especially a direction taken by a guy who's already built the incredible dynasty of this decade.

It's going to be a loooong time before people even consider being anti-Scott

I agree, especially with the first part. I'd bet that Carl Peterson would have a much more positive legacy in KC if he'd just left 10 years ago. He was never a truly BAD GM in my opinion - he just didn't know when to give up.
