Is it just me...or are we ignoring the news on Wiegmann?

You know....him going to the pro bowl due to the Kevin Mawae injury.

If it was mentioned in another thread...I have no idea.

Reerun_KC 01-13-2009 07:36 PM

Who?

And why would that be important today?

Rain Man 01-13-2009 07:37 PM

I used to like him a lot, but now I think he's a cheater.

DaFace 01-13-2009 07:37 PM

Ignoring? Probably not. Not caring? Most likely.

Seriously, I'm happy for him I guess, but meh.

Not important...but...the humor is thick. Good point though!

Just a reminder of how beastly our offensive line used to be.

Kind of like if Shannan gets hired as head coach of KC he'll suddenly be a great coach for KC?

Basileus777 01-13-2009 07:40 PM

It's the pro-bowl, you don't have to be good to go there. Wiegmann is a solid player, but he's not worth crying about.

Huffman83 01-13-2009 07:44 PM

I figure he was an unrestricted free agent who wasn't worth paying a huge amount of money to keep around for another year or two. And there is no way that he would have gone to the Pro-bowl if he was still in KC. It's just funny to me that's all.

StcChief 01-13-2009 07:46 PM

Well not exactly a timely post. Probowl is when???? Today is Pioli day in KC

big nasty kcnut 01-13-2009 07:59 PM

He stole my other girl. Fug him

Valiant 01-13-2009 08:19 PM

He did not fit the scheme of Herm's Oline.. Of course we found out no one did..

Granted he would have did great in Chan's spread, but it is too late..

RealSNR 01-13-2009 08:33 PM

Weigman was getting up there in years and didn't perform well in the kind of offense we ran. He's probably smarter and better than Niswanger, but I'll still take Rudy

Frazod 01-13-2009 08:37 PM

I thought he was dead.

Oh wait, he's merely dead to me.

**** anybody who leaves the Chiefs for Denver.

FringeNC 01-13-2009 09:06 PM

Herm's attempted transformation of the Chiefs to a power running attack was an abysmal failure. If guys retire, you re-tool, you don't gut as successful a system was we had.

Thank god with Pioli we'll hear no more excuses as to not having the talent to run some particular system. If we don't, we'll go get the ****ing players.
