Patriots planet reaction......
I don't think they like losing Pioli.....
http://www.patriotsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=42099 Chiefs have dismantled the Patriots in one season. Brady in Game one and now Pioli. |
Heh.....I was just over there reading that.
|
I hope they don't expect anyone to feel sorry for them.

One of the comments:
I think that the loss of Pioli is the most significant staff loss the Pats have suffered yet. The guy was great and handled the cap better than probably anyone else in the business and that is a huge part of every team in the modern era. He was also a big cog in terms of personnel acquistion and put the scouting department together. I feel badly to lose him, but the KC gig is an excellent one for somebody that knows what they are doing and I'll be shocked if they don't start climbing up the rungs of the ladder very soon. Piloli's are some big shoes to fill, but as long as BB is in charge of the football stuff I see no reason to worry about the sky falling. We have a system in place that doesn't go south because of the loss of any one guy. Or four. Or more. Unless we are talking about Belichick himself in which case I recommend everybody immediately shit themselves-- I know I will. Thank you, Scott and best of luck in your future endeavors. You did good for us and I hope you find what you are looking for in KC. <!-- / message --> |
Losing Pioli is a big blow, but if forced to choose between BB and SP, I'll take BB.
It's espeically unfortunate that Dimitroff, who would have replaced SP, left to go to Atlanta last year. The hope is that Caserio can step into SP's shoes and do well. The Patriots have the most cohesive front office / coaching group in the NFL, and hopefully that is maintained at a consistently high level. |
Gee, somebody posted this over there:
Good News! Breaking News.... Per ESPN... Herm Edwards to replace Scott Pioli in Patriots organization. The Patriots organization has been successful for far too long so the decision has been made to bring Herm Edwards in to fill the shoes of Scott Pioli. We decided that we need to be drafting in the top 5 for the next few years and the best way to accomplish that was to bring in a proven head coach that can get that accomplished. We don't know if Herm will be enough on his own to get this accomplished so we are targeting the rest of the coaching staff also. Clark hunt was not availabe for comment. <!-- / message --> |

How much input does Jonathan Kraft have? |

They probably need to run big financial decisions by him, but I wouldn't think anything more than that. |

ahh.. So basically Pioli was the GM in NE even thought he didnt have that specific title? |
Patriots are over with and Pioli knows it. They're an old team with a quarterback with a bum knee and a backup that couldn't take them to the playoffs.
|
Wow Pat fans are scared...its kinda funny
|
brady and pioli in the same year. ouch!
|
Pats days are numbered to begin rebuilding...
