In general, are NFL players more athletic than NBA players?
Hootie seems to think Kobe Bryant is stronger than all the cornerbacks and safeties in the NFL, and that LeBron James would be the best NFL player of all time if he played the game. You know, because guys like Tracy McGrady and Stephon Marbury would just dominate as a WR in the NFL. Nobody could cover them.

Not even remotely close.
Only rare NFL athletes (Peppers, M. Williams, Calvin Johnson, etc.) are in the same league as most of the NBA. |
But...but we're on a football message board...c'mon..this is gonna be biased.
Hootie is basically citing three guys as proof the NBA has better athletes. LeBron...who is a physical freak and could be a dominant TE.. Kobe and TMac..who would supposedly be great WR's in the league.. |

No way. Basketball takes MUCH more endurance. Basketball players are typically freakishly athletic. Plus they play nonstop games every night.

Roster size dictates an inherent advantage to the NBA players. Because their pool is hundreds and hundreds of players smaller.

NBA players are more "athletic" IMO, they are on their feet running for longer periods of time than NFL players. OTOH, you have to have a level of toughness to play in the NFL that I don't think many NBA players have.

Basketball players tend to have more grace and better hand-eye coordination.
Football players tend to have more strength, speed, balance, and toughness. I'm presuming we're talking about guys with roughly comparable physical attributes. It's hard to compare any basketball player with a guard or defensive tackle. They're apples and oranges. |

Why aren't soccer players in the mix?
They're athletic as hell..and I hate that sport. |
What is this NBA you speak of? What do they consist of? Is it a game?
