GRob....idiot
Many former Chiefs assistant coaches, now unemployed or working for other teams and in town for the week’s events, expressed sympathy for the awkward situation of their Kansas City counterparts. All expressed relief they left the Chiefs at a more opportune time.
One was former defensive coordinator Greg Robinson, recently fired as the head coach at Syracuse and looking to get back into the NFL as an assistant. Robinson was practically run out of Kansas City in 2003 after coaching a horrendous defense that ruined a 13-3 season with a playoff loss to Indianapolis. Robinson said he felt vindicated because the Chiefs never improved much defensively after he was replaced by Cunningham. |
So he's in a race to the bottom with other coaches?
"I'm as bad as that guy and I can prove it!" |
So, Who cares... He is right to a point... Sure his defense sucked, but not near as bad as the Chiefsplanet savior Herm, whom wasnt going to touch the offense and if anything else was going to fix the defense...
Herm and Gun make GROB look like Buddy Ryan in comparison... |
link?

they both were aweful, but atleast I never had to see a 180 pound corner blitz only to to have eric hicks go cover where the corner was.

"Hey, Bill! What pile of shit do you think smells worse?"

and now michigan hires him to be Dcoord so they are out of it for as long as he's there
|
He got hired as DC at Michigan
oh and BTW, this is a repost |
We did make some improvement after he left, but not enough. When the current HC was brought in, he changed the scheme to one of his liking. Judging Gunther on running the HCs scheme is not accurate. As long as Carl Pederson was picking the defensive line...

I will wish slow painful death upon that one who sucks the penis until the end of time.
All we needed was a CRAPPY defense. Is CRAPPY too much to ask? If he could have provided us with a CRAPPY defense we'd have won at least one Super Bowl. Instead we got the worst goddamn defense in the league; a defense that couldn't stop anybody; a defense that couldn't manage one goddamn three and out for the best offense in football. Goddamn that ****ing scumbag to the eternal fires of the hottest pit of hell. 4321 |
So what's his excuse for the debacle at Syracuse?
|
Not entirely true. In Herm's first year when Edwards and Boone first came here the defense did ok. I think they ended up ranked in the middle of the pack.
(yep - just checked and they were ranked 16th that year) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statis...=2006&season=2 |
