Just sent out over 50 graduation invites. Wow

It seems like just a little while ago that my daughter was born, now she graduates in 3 weeks.

Many of you have given me advice through the years and I feel she has grown up with the planet.

Just wanted to give a public shout out to my baby girl and for those of you who care, thanks for all the advice and for being a sounding board though out all the years.

I can't believe I have a HS graduate for a kid!!!

(and for those of you that don't care about family...don't read the post!) :p

It really isn't that difficult to graduate from HS.

Then why did it take me 12 years? Huh? Why???

kcxiv 05-04-2009 06:59 PM

Not difficult, If i can do it and missed half of the school days, then anyone can do it. Granted my senior year i had to work my ass off to graduate. Had to do night school 4 days a week for pretty much the whole year, but i did it.

Honestly, i was more proud of that then anything. I could have easily said **** it, but i actually applied myself in school for once. lol Another thing that is shocking is i actually read novels for book reports. I never ever did until my 12th year in HS. I had to do so many for extra credit. lol I was proud.

How much planning did it take to make the wallpaper match his tie? I must admit, I'm impressed.

She is taking some AP classes and is scheduled to do Basic this summer then school then training next summer.

She decided on the Reserves and is doing a split entry? not sure if that is the right term but that lets her do basic then go to school then next summer continue training.

I am happy with this and not as scared as I was when she first started talking about the military.

One change tho ... she has switched her area of interest again. Back to the medical field...I can live with that.

The math in the Engineering scared her
