Rosenhaus to get canned?

Report: Boldin to fire super-agent Rosenhaus

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9...gent-Rosenhaus

Anquan Boldin has made it clear he wants to play for a new NFL team. Now he apparently wants a new agent as well.

The Cardinals' star wide receiver has informed the Arizona Cardinals and the NFL Players Association of his intention to fire super-agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to a report Tuesday on ESPN.com. Rosenhaus represents more NFL players than any other agent, according to the report.

"Regarding Anquan Boldin, let me say that I have great respect for him," Rosenhaus told the Web site in a statement. "I'm hopeful we can work this out and he can return to the Rosenhaus Sports family in the near future."

Boldin has reached out to other agents in recent weeks, according to the report, which cited an unnamed source. Specifically, Boldin contacted Kennard McGuire, CAA agents Tom Condon and Ben Dogra, and two of teammate Larry Fitzgerald's agents, Eugene Parker and Paul Lawrence.

Boldin first asked to be traded last offseason when the Cardinals refused to give him a contract extension. After the team failed to move him, Boldin caught 89 passes for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns in the 2008 season, earning him his third Pro Bowl selection.

Boldin has renewed his request for a trade this offseason, and last month Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed that teams had been contacting Arizona about Boldin's availability.

Does he fit the "team first" profile? I don't think so.

Moss didn’t either before he went to NE, IMO most “big time” wide outs don’t buy into the “team first” concept.

Print 'em!

Good point, but don't you think the Moss signing was the exception? They got him for a 4th, they almost had to take the chance with his talent. This guy would be expensive.
Don't get me wrong, the guy is a great receiver. But I have learned not to get my hopes up, when it seems to fit that they won't sign him.

**see Hugh Douglas**

I agree, IM not sure the cost would be worth the return here either.

If the Chiefs signed this guy EVERYWHERE at Arrowhead you would see TONY WHO? signs.

THE DAY IS MINE!

I really can't believe I am the only one that thinks Haley doesn't want anything to do with this guy.

Why would you want a guy around that you have already had problems with around? I know I sure as hell wouldn't.

I don't think Haley does either.

I think this is blown out of proportion. Boldin specifically named the Chiefs as a team he would play for because of Haley.

This.

We have the cap space - by gones are by gones. With the offense that Haley wants to run he is perfect. We are not talking about a WR with issues like Ochostinko or T.O. or Chris Henry. The guy just wants a contract that ,IMO, he deserves. SHOW HIM THE $$$$$$$$$.

Boldin would be nice. Anyone think if he signed up with Condon if Tom would push him towards Pioli and the Chiefs?
