7 waterspouts. Cool storm while in Miami
 

We went on a cruise to the Bahamas...had a wonderful time. Booked a beach hotel before and after the cruise. Friday Miami had one hell of a storm. We were stuck inside the hotel room during the storm which reported 60 + mile winds and 7 waterspouts...

wickedly cool, but we were kind of disappointed having paid 250 bucks to stay inside the hotel instead of walking in the ocean...


we did get to spend a little time in the ocean towards sunset when the storm calmed.

Living in Kansas, we are used to storms, but wow, being on the beach/ocean it is much more intense.

Crazy. What did your daughter think about all that excitement?

I saw three of them on Lake Michigan once. That was neat.

she was quite bored and slept through most of it was also kind of pissed that the rain screwed up the signal for the TV

it was really awesome.

Occasionally, a waterspout will pick up a fish, transport it for a long distance, then drop it back in the water. And sometimes, the waterspout will drop the fish on land. Right on a lady's head. Poor lady. Got hit by a fish.

after the storm, the chairs all around the pool were tipped over or moved. There were pieces of palm trees everywhere and even a glass table in the pool.

The beach was pretty normal tho the water from the ocean was cold after all the rain and the waves were pretty big.
