-- What to wear to a wedding when you're not in it?

Yeah so, I'm going to a wedding of a buddy of mine on Sept. 12th. I'm wanting to look really nice, as weddings are an amazing medium for networking/meeting people (most notably, girls) but, I'm thinking grey button up w/ navy pin-stripes and a bold navy tie accompanied by some fine solid dark, dark navy flat front, semi-formal pants w/ my power shoes, which were purchased at Norstroms, split-toe, calfskin, black.

Or, do you all think i need to buy a sports-coat, too? My ex-wife handled all of the 'proper etiquette' bullshit when I was married, so, I'm a little lost as to the do's n do nots.

TIA

Suck it up Wildcat!

Show your pride and the ladies will be dripping off of you.

Don't wear anything that matches the wedding party's attire.

A darker khaki, flat front pant and a cerulean button-up (no pattern, please). Some sporty suede boots work well with this combo. No tie unless you are a very close friend or family member.

The point is, you want the ladies to know you are there because you know people, but that you don't know them well enough where the lady will feel guilty if she enjoys an erotic rendezvous with you.

Wear the bride's underwear on your head.

Something crotchless. But don't be vulgar, cover up with a pair of chaps until the dance music starts.

Dark suit and tie if the wedding is in the evening. Wear a sports jacket or suit w/ no tie if it is in the afternoon.

A suit.

I either wear a green suit, navy suit or black/charcoal pinstripe suit.

A bold stripe shirt calls for solid colored or discreetly patterned suits and ties.

OK SR? Right? Got it.

Go to banana republic and buy whatever is on the mannequin.
