The Raiders signed 6'7" behemoth defensive tackle Terdell Sands to a four-year, $17 million contract in the 2007 offseason, believing him to be the answer for the club's annual woes on run defense.

He wasn't, and owner Al Davis acknowledged the mistake by releasing Sands on Saturday. Of course, it didn't happen until after Davis paid Sands a $1.9 million offseason roster bonus.

Versatile defensive end/tackle Ryan Boschetti was also cut, while undrafted rookie Desmond Bryant, who played at Harvard, has made the team.

Can this fat **** do anything good for us?

Also, lulz at Davis paying Sands $1.9 million.

If he's not good enough for the Raiders, then obviously, he'll be worth his weight in gold in Kansas City.

Maybe it could be our karmic rebound from the Gannon/Grbac butt-****ing...

Or maybe Terd will be grateful for his escape from the bowels of hell and love his second chance at life, giving at least 80%... with his size it seems he may only have to give 4/5 to be better than any of the guys we have on the roster right now... probably not though.
