A game and a funeral?
So, my grandmother passed away yesterday, so I'll be coming to Kansas City this weekend for the first time since fall 2006. It won't really be a fun and exciting trip, but the irony of being in Kansas City for the first time in 3 years on a game day and not being able to make it to the game hit me today.
Sigh... (For the record, I appreciate any kind thoughts, but this isn't necessarily a prayer thread. I wasn't especially close to my grandma, so the occasion is more for the support of my family than anything. That said, I'm not actually morbid enough to try and get out of the game at 3 and try to make the funeral at 4.) |
It could be fun if you learn about your grandma, fun stories, funerals are sad, but they can also be fun rewarding way to soak in life and death.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother Face. Prayers for your family.

My condolences.

Depends where's the funeral. An hour should be fine for a good chunk of the city.

I would definitely try to take in an hour or two of the game, if even from a cheap endzone seat.

You can get tickets pretty cheap. Even a half would be worth $30 if I didn't have a chance to get to more games. Tailgating is worth that :)

where's the funeral? Am I doing it?
