why PIRATE is the best costume EVARRRRRR!!!!
 

I Just got back from "Trunk or Treat" at our school.

Basically, this is where parents park their cars in the lot and decorate them and the whole damn school trick or treats along the rows of cars.

Now, not sure if this is because the kids don't get enough candy on Halloween or what but we bought into it hook line and sinker.

I drove my 72 VW camper van and outfitted it with painted cardboard and a "mast" and pirate sail. it was a pirate ship and I had a pirate costume complete with wig and eyepatch.

THe poptop was tattered so I ripped it away and stood up there yelling crazy pirate (or, leprechaun) stuff and tossing candy to kids walking by.

I was like friggen Mickey mouse in the suit at disneyland. THe kids would not leave me alone! but the good thing is, since I was a salty pirate, I got to act like Dane or Milkman and rip the kids a new one if they got out of line. LOL!

Some kid rolled up dressed normally and carrying a skateboard. He says "I'm a skateboarder" I yelled at him and between the ARRRGs and the SHIVER ME TIMBERs I told him to move the fock on and no candy for him cuz his costume sucked.
Then there was the two kids dressed in white sheets tattered wrapped around them "TISSUES!" I said. They said they were ghosts. I replied "No! Your mom hit up the white sale at J C Penney and you are tissues, right?!"
the mom was right there too and she laughed hard.

I did have a moment where the entire first grade class surrounded me and tried to rip off my costume like Steve Martin in Parenthood. I seriously got scared adn panicked yelling ' KIDS! MELLOW! SERIOUSLY! BACK OFF!"
That was not rad.
Oh yeah, bonus points: moms are all looking at you kinda milfy because of Jack Sparrow. a good feeling.

Trunk or treat is cool, halloween is cool, having fun at your kid's school is cool and first grade moms are hot.....well. sometimes. Mine is. But truly, pics would have been in order.

I know. My wife had the camera and spent the whole time walking around talking to other parents. Lots of people were taking pics. Maybe they'll email me some.

The best part is that horrific mask. Scary, man.

Beat me to it. Was there a big, older Chevrolet parked at the end with the trunk open, and the guy was saying, "Yeah, there's candy in there. It's in the back. Allllll the way in the back. You're going to have to climb in there to get it."

Now that I think about it, that would've been a great costume, too.
