I AM SOOOOO PROUD.

Some of you may remember when I posted a "Prayer/Positive thoughts" thread a few years ago when my son was going through a horrifying struggle with a sudden and agressively deepening depression. The support and prayers that were given were deeply appreciated. Now let's fast forward to 2009:

1- In May of this year my son received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Iowa.

2- Roughly around then he applied and was accepted as a member of MENSA (I posted a proud thread about this then).

3- A few weeks ago he recieved the news that he has passed his very first attempt at the Bar Exam (State of Georgia).

4- Today he is being sworn in as a Licensed Attorney.

Life still has many valleys for me to climb out of (notably my heart condition and a mess with the IRS stemming from an illegal firing in 2002 which I successfully fought for 3 years). But this evens things out and I'm not complaining.

And BTW, My son is a lifetime Chiefs fan.

Thanks for paying attention, and now I send you back to our regular programming already in progress.

Damn....congrats to both of you.

That's great.
You've added another lawyer to the swarm of locusts....

Just kidding.

Congrats, and all's well that ends well.

That is great Frankie. Congrats to you and your son.

Depression is a terrible thing, my mother fights with it. Someone overcoming it is an inspiration.

MOhillbilly 11-13-2009 10:36 AM

looks like ya raised em right. Not an easy thing to do by any measure. Congrats to you and yours.

I didn't read all of this, because your posts are so lengthy, but:
