Standing at Chiefs game?

I'm sure a lot of us have been yelled at for standing at a chiefs game by the cranky people people who don't ever get up and cheer. What is CP's take on standing at the chiefs game?

Poll coming.

I stand on defense. Because I'm a football fan. I also yell and bang my hand on my seat, and whatever else is close. You're lucky if I don't knock your nachos out of your hand in an attempt to use them as a hi-hat. That's how I do it on defense.

That's also why I really don't like having bad-ass seats; because every time I sit somewhere nice with a good view, some asshole is all like "OMG, sit down. We can't see the game, we brought our Snuggies and we're cold too. Could you breath on us and play this soothing 'Sounds of Whales' disc on this boombox for us. This game is way too violent and loud. We should have just went and saw Thumbelina on ice instead".

**** those kinds of fans. People in the upper level know how to get down. Get drunk. Get loud. Harass anyone over the age of 4 wearing an opposing team jersey.

F' um.

I went to the Turkey Day Bronco game and everyone was so pumped, yelling and screaming, standing of course. The stadium seamed to be shaking underfoot. That's why you pay for the ticket and not watch from home.

The poll is biased, so I'll exempt myself. If we're on defense, stand and be loud. If we're on offense, sit down and shut up.

I was in the front row, section 110 for the Dallas game and nobody complained about me standing 90% of the time. Do the endzone fans complain less and stand more? I've never had trouble there.

This is true. Chiefs fans are a hearty and humorous bunch. We can think of much better things to yell than generic curse words.

I've been scolded for standing up and yelling.

The only time I care at all is when I'm using borrowed season tickets and don't want to reflect negatively on them, however I come to a football game to leave with no voice and a headache.

If they're not jackasses about it, I'll be polite about disagreeing with their point of view.

if you want to sit and watch, get club seats or stay home.

CoMoChief 11-25-2009 09:42 AM

Stand up and raise hell pound chairs, let the thunder roar on defense.

Offense it's ok to sit down....unless a big play has been made.

gblowfish 11-25-2009 09:43 AM

There's a time to stand and yell, and a time to sit and let others behind you see. Just use some common sense.
Luckily, since I'm in the front row, I don't have to worry about this much.
