The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the club has placed CB/S Maurice Leggett on injured reserve.

Leggett (5-11, 188) has played in 22 career games (four starts) with the Chiefs, recording 47 tackles (43 solo), an INT for a 27-yard touchdown, nine passes defensed and eight special teams tackles. He also has five punt returns for 13 yards. The Valdosta State product entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Kansas City in 2008.

OK with Leggett gone for the year who takes his roster spot? Do we call up Ricky Price, Harris, or Jarvis Williams? Or do we sign a guy like Matt Roth? Discuss.

This is going to make room for Matt Roth. Yup the Chiefs should sign him.

Leggett was the emergency safety. The Chiefs only have 3 active now.. McGraw, Brown and Morgan. Most likely Price will be active since he can play safety. That opens a spot on the PS.

It seems that way. I've wondered a few time this year if theyed placed some guys on IR that could have come back just to make some more room.

Legget was quickly becoming the Bartee of the current secondary.

He looked horrible in both games I saw this year.

Heck with price...gimme Matt Roth! I would like for this LBing corps to improve.

there are about 7 or 8 teams ahead of us on the waiver wire that can pick him up before we do. Lets hope they all pass on him and he falls on the Chiefs lap.

My money is on the Browns claiming him.
