The Most Attractive Person You've Ever Known Other Than Your Spouse.

Five caveats and rules before I post the poll:

1. We're not talking about spouses and significant others here, so they are officially eliminated from the discussion. There is no need to post that your spouse is the most attractive person you've ever known. We already know and recognize that your spouse is extraordinarily and singularly gorgeous and that he/she may occasionally log onto chiefsplanet. So you are voting for whomever is an astronomically distant second to the woman who shares your heart and bears your children.

2. By "known", I'm talking about knowing that person well enough that they would know you and recognize you during your time of acquaintance and would still know you and recognize you if you didn't see each other for three months. So we're not talking about the time you saw Halle Berry in a coffee shop or the time you got introduced to Salma Hayek at a party. We're talking about someone that you know. This could be someone who knows your name or it could be that cute girl behind the counter at Carl's, Jr. who always says hi and recognizes you because you go there every day solely to see her dimpled smile, sparkling eyes, and perky bosoms.

3. We're talking straight-up physical attractiveness here, so your selection criterion should be that you would like to see that person naked more than any other person you've ever known. So yes, we understand that your daughter is the most beautiful person in the world, but unless you have some seriously screwed-up family dynamics, she is not eligible for consideration.

4. As one exception to Rule 3, if you somehow have a distant family member such as a cousin or aunt who, if unrelated to you, would top your list, but who is not on your list because you don't wish to have children with hip dysplasia, then you may select that person and no judgment shall be passed upon you.

5. You can make the judgment call about whether to include personality or solely physical appearance. It's your libido, so you know what's important.

Christy Hamilton. No contest.

One addition.

Posts are worthless without pics.

Weird. When I was in college, I knew a Christy Hamilton who was a stunner, which I'm sure was about 20 years before your stunner. She wouldn't rank #1, but she would definitely be in the top 20. That name must be good karma.

Rain Man 11-28-2009 11:17 PM

I think phobia nailed it, though I might ask that you remove the actual name so it doesn't get googled.

Rain Man 11-28-2009 11:22 PM

I'm asking because I'm wondering if there's any imprinting of people we meet when we're younger who are our first impressions of true beauty, and whether they then ascend to an immortal status for the rest of our lives.

For example, if asked this question I would immediately flout the rules and answer "my spouse". If forced to pick a distant second behind my spouse, I would first say that no one else could compare, but then if forced to pick or take a bullet to the head, I would default to a former high school classmate who was ... wow. Just wow. But I've met thousands of women since high school (or at least hundreds), so I wonder if this high school classmate benefits in my memory from showing up early when I was still being flung about in a hormonal hurricane of lust and unrequited desire. The odds seem low that a person's #1 ranking would be someone they knew in high school, but my theory is that high school classmates will rank well in this poll.

J K (initials). Man, did I like that guy in high school. We had some classes together. Senior year, we took Media. We taped the morning announcements to lay at the start of second hour. Had to pair up guy/girl, and we usually always chose each other. We had second hour together, too (Spanish III), and we'd sometimes walk together. Did he know I crushed on him? No way.

Ran into him a few years ago when I went to play poker with a friend of mine at someone's house. He's got two small boys now, and was recently divorce. DId I make a move? No way.

Not sure if he's the best looking (he was adorable though), but there was something about him. Maybe knowing he's the one I'd never have.

I plowed a girl once.

Rain Man 11-28-2009 11:27 PM

So another high school vote from luv. My theory is holding up in the early voting.

So luv, did you give him any signals to make a move? My other theory is that, with a person like that, a person may not make a move because rejection would eliminate that person as one's idealized match. It's better to avoid the risk of rejection for the guarantee of the permanent "what if" scenario. For that same reason I never asked out the object of my fantasies when we were in high school. If she rejected me, it would have destroyed that fantasy, and it was a pretty darn good fantasy. Probably better than reality, to be honest.

I was on spring break. Hooked up with a girl for 5 days. Then flew out to see her another time for 5 days. Does that count?

I avoided the risk of rejection. We didn't run in the same social circles. Not that he was too good for me, or definitely ot vice versa, but I didn't like a lot of his friends. He hung out with a stuck up crowd.

3 women in my life have caused me to have "bubbaitus" which is a condition that an old friend deemed an appropriate condition. 'Bubbaitus' causes you to forget the English language completely when approaching a very attractive women. When you approach this women all you can muster out is a few sounds of partial words and turn completely red before you have to leave out of embarrassment.

The 3 women I've known or met do this:
Brie Strohmeyer (google her) I first saw her in 8th grade at a dance and spent 4 years in highschool together. It took 2 years after bumping into her at JCCC to finally talk to her without stammering around. I'm usually a pretty confident guy when speaking to women but she was my kryptonite. She's now an actress.

The Hooters girl- Yes, this is outside of your requirements but I was 18 years old and all I could muster out was a long "yeeeaaassss" when she asked me what I wanted to drink. My friend ended up ordering for me because I was weak. I've been around a lot of hot women in my life but this one was definitely one of the best.

Emily- Coworker. Very attractive blonde and a girl that everyone stops and watches dance in the clubs. My 'bubbaitus' screwed this one up. We've gone out a lot to clubs, college games to a school she never went to or cares for, movies, charity events but I could never muster anything of importance when we talked...oh well.

Here's Amber. She wasn't quite as hot as Christy I guess.
