CP Job/Work/Service Directory
As the economy has dictated, many people are in tight situations financially and have had work troubles. Lately it seems a ton of those situations find their way on to CP.
I was thinking that it might be a good idea to create some sort of directory of legit members' businesses and services that they offer, in an attempt to support each other's work and ultimately, pocketbooks. For instance, if CP member X had a heating/cooling business, and CP member Y needed a new heating/cooling unit, Y could find X easily from the directory and spend money that way. And we could all refer business to each other as well. We could even network and discuss job openings and such; trade resumes, etc... I don't know the logistics of this, but I thought it might be fun for someone who likes creating stuff like that to do. ********* Who Does What ********** Phobia: contractor - residential and commercial in the KC area Hogfarmer: Pig servicer Jilly: Ordained Minister- presides over weddings and funerals Lumpy: Printing Industry - prints pretty much everything Buck: Printing Industry - prints pretty much everything KCChiefsFanGoJC: Automotive Repair - transmissions, 4x4, transfer cases, differentials - in Columbus, OH KCFanXIII: Cleans and services swimming pools Ari Chi3fs: Local search optimization and Search Engine Optimization (gets your business found online) - http://advangel.com Chefsos: Winterizes RV's Inspector's Sons: Heating and AC work, Member of Vedera, Manufacturing in LS and BS, UPS, and Soldier Gonzo: Security - guarding, vehicle patrols and portable alarm systems. Or, if person X needed a vial of pig jizz, and person Y jerked off pigs for a living, X could find Y easily and hook it up.
The possibilities are endless. |
Redrum is probably servicing your mom right now.

I hope it's well-known that I'm a contractor - residential and commercial in the KC area. Our two masterpieces have been performed from friendships forged on this very site - ENDelt's deck and tooge's addition.
I've even hired people off this site before. |
I'm guessing that Redrum has a mommy complex or something? He probably had a bad childhood or something like that.
On a more serious note I'm betting that some people might have a hard time putting there information out there. If you piss someone off on the planet then there are some that could and have taken it to the next level whether it's phone calls at home or some other weird stuff or even more. I would hate for Hog Farmer to actually send me a vial of pig jizz if I pissed him off....LOL. But the idea is very good I would be interested in what CP members actually could offer in the way of services. Good luck with it. |

I think participating members could lay it out in a couple categories. 1 - Industry (IT? Construction? Marketing?) 2 - Services/Capabilities (Contract? Large/Small scale? Repair? Installation?) 3 - Areas Serviced (KC metro? Iowa? SoCal?) |

"Who fixes garage doors in KC? Oh, Chieffaneleventy does. I'll PM him." At which point Chieffaneleventy is excited and sinks or swims himself to winning the job, i/e website, references, pricing info, contact info, etc. I'm just saying have a screen door that someone can knock or shout into to get your attention, rather than leaving it wide open to where anyone can walk in. But if someone is comfortable going balls out, why not? If its not an issue for them, then it isn't an issue. |
I have a feeling that if we do this, someone will get raped eventually.
I don't mean financially. I mean Deliverance. |
