Ineptitude.

*The Chiefs have amassed 11 losses in each of the last three regular seasons. They've dropped exactly 37 games since 2007. To put that into perspective...You'd have to go back to 2000 to find that many Patriot losses.

*The Chiefs have posted three consecutive seasons with a Scoring Offense ranked 25th or lower. This season New Orleans has ALREADY scored twice as many points as Kansas City. They’re quite possibly going to post a one-year total comparable to the Chiefs’ last two.

*The Chiefs have surrendered more than 800 points the last two seasons and managed to finish one of the four worst defenses in the entire NFL two years running. They’re on track to give up better than 400 points again this season.

*The Chiefs have only sent three defensive players to Honolulu for the NFL’s Pro Bowl since 2000 (Jared Allen, James Hasty & Jerome Woods).

*2009 will mark the fifth time since the decade began that the Chiefs will NOT have a 1,000 yard-pass catcher. During that span only 4 different Chiefs have achieved that mark.

*The Chiefs have just 29 sacks over the last two seasons. To put that into perspective…three years ago the Chiefs posted 37 (8 more than ’08 & ’09, combined).

*The Chiefs have lost 20 regular season games at home over the last three seasons. To put that into perspective, there have only been 24.

*The Chiefs have posted 20 total rushing TD’s (as a team) the last three seasons. In 2006, one Chiefs RB had 17 TD’s…by himself.

*Thie Chiefs have strung four consecutive seasons together scoring less than 21 points per game during the regular season.

You have to be patient. In two more years Haley will be gone and we will start building our dream team.

This right here is why we need a key defensive PLAY maker. The crowd used to feed off the defense and make Arrowhead painful to the ears. I'm sick of the apathy at home games.
If we don't trade up to get Suh, then it better be Berry.

Obviously Haley and Pioli didn't take us to the dance this year so let's fired 'em. If their replacements don't take it to the dance next year, then off with their heads. Just keep up the cycle and we will finally find two who will take the team to glory. If they don't keep this up the following year then fire their arses. Mr Hunt will again find the right two someday again and if they fail the following year then it's lights out for them.

These are the keys to success. I challenge anyone to come up with a more intelligent solution.

That would require a switch back to the 4-3, which I am in full support of.

Why we switched to a 3-4 system in which we limit our talent pool is beyond me.

That would be the "Patriot Way" and we wasted a portion of our 2nd round draft choice on Vrabel to accommodate the "process".

:hmmm:

How about we hire people that truly know WTF they are doing vs people that came from under someone that knew what they were doing and caught enough drippings to be claimed a genius.

I have been an advocate of switching to the 3-4 for several years. However when your offense is as bad as ours, this is not the time to change your defense leading to needing several new players on the defensive side. You can not erbuild both sides of the ball at once. I have always felt that a coach should coach to the strengths of the players, not force them into his system. It doesn't seem like that happens much in the NFL though.

The great thing about this info, is that it tells you EXACTLY what we need to be drafting and why we DON'T need to be drafting offensive linemen. This team LACKS PLAY MAKERS. On both sides, but especially on defense.

You appear to be a self-filling prophesy. . .

I love the philosophy behind the 3-4, but there was way too much rebuilding to do to try and fix both sides of the ball in one season.
