Trippy. I'd guess that it didn't catch on due to the fact that it would be largely useless on any other surface other than snow, whereas something like a snowcat can still be used on dry ground.

Interesting that they tested it on a chevy in the video.

Pretty cool overall. Somebody could probably do this on their own with timeand tools. It looks like you could remove a tractors wheels attach some mounts for the corkscrews and drive them off the power take-off. It would be a complicated build, especially getting the gearing correct so that you can using the screws, I guess you could do that with a simple breaking system to slow one side or the other so that you could turn...

Pretty cool machine though.

If you watch all the way to the end it looks like it is being driven in a typical soil field in good condition. Works just as good there, basically an agile track vehicle is what it moves like.
