What makes you a Matt Cassel fan next season?

What does he have to do to convince you he is worth the starting spot? I won't say worth the $ cause I don't think that will ever happen but, that being said....

A trade.

Or a draft pick.

I'll be rooting for him. He's a Chief.

I am expecting him to improve.

He has to win games by making plays.

I'll give 2 Willie Wilson and a Frank White rookie plus half the gum for a player yet to be named! :D

If we can have an improved Oline to give him a chance I'll give him a shot! But from what I saw this year I just don't think he'll be a QB that will ever be able to take us anywhere.

This guy is a mystery to me. Flashes of goodness surrounded by giant gloms of badness interspersed with glaring examples of absolute stupidity.

His mechanics appear to be uneven and inconsistent. His decision-making is sometimes good, sometimes horrible. And his accuracy is troubling (mechanics issue?).

My hope is that Haley will bring in a competent QB coach. Cassel needs one. I also hope that Cassel gets a ton of work in with the wideouts. If we're lucky, maybe a large part of his problem is a lack of timing and/or unpredictable route running.

That's pretty much how I am.

I didn't want him here to begin with. But odds are he's not getting traded, odds are he's not getting cut. The only really 'good' outcome for Kansas City is for him to excel, so that's what I'm hoping happens. I'm hoping 2009 was a perfect shitstorm of changing schemes and bad players around him, much like 2001 was for that other guy that used to QB here.

Am I predicting that?

No. I don't have any idea what's going to happen.

But that is what I want to happen.

As for what would make me a fan, well, winning games would be a good start. Along with, maybe, more than 20 TDs, less than 15 INTs, maybe in the neighborhood of 4000 yards.

Because this is going to be a passing team, and that's what it's going to need its QB to do...

If he can't learn to hit guys deep at least 1 of 3 times a game then I can't even rank him up with Grbac and Bono. I don't expect him to hit every deep pass, but if the WR is wide open he can't be thrown the ball 20 yards past the guy and then weak arming rainbows to covered guys.

He owes me money. I'll support him when he supports ME

RAWR 01-11-2010 07:16 PM

The jersey on his chest and his will to win, even when hes getting his wig split.
