The Saints, Destiny, And The Number Fo

Well guys ... it appears that the rumors about Madame Wolanda laying down some serious voodoo on this year's Super Bowl were true after all.

Here's the deal ...

This year's Super Bowl took place on the 44th day after Christmas.
The Saints franchise is 44 years old.
Oblama is the 44th President of the USA.
Katrina occurred 4 years and 4 months ago.
When the Saints beat the Vikings, overtime lasted 4 minutes and 44 seconds.
The Saints have retired 4 jersey numbers.
The Saints have won 4 division championships.
In the Super Bowl, the Saints scored 31 points: 3 plus 1 is 4.
In the Super Bowl, the Mannings scored 17 points: 1 + 7 is 8.
In the Super Bowl, there were 2 teams: 8 / 2 is 4.
When the Saints took the victory formation, the clock read: 44.
In the Super Bowl, Manning was the Saints' Foe.

Coincidence? I think not.

Mr. Flopnuts will be leaving now to go out and buy 4 lottery tickets.

Arrowhead Pride 02-07-2010 10:49 PM

Your math is off FAX. Katrina was 4 years and 5 months ago.

Arrowhead Pride 02-07-2010 10:51 PM

Oh, and the Saints/Vikings overtime lasted 4:45.

Mr. Flopnuts 02-07-2010 10:52 PM

Fine. 4 or 5 lottery tickets. Jeez.

Arrowhead Pride 02-07-2010 10:52 PM

And the Saints franchise was established in 1967, 43 years ago.

I'm done :)

They beat a team with a QB that wears the number 4
Brees had 288 yards. 8+8 = 16 and the square root of 16 is 4
There were 4 field goals scored today
Porter's INT return was 74 yards long
If you take the S off of Drew Brees' name, then both his names have 4 letters

Coincidence, I think not.

The Saints' roster had 44 players, if you don't count nine of them.

The combined score was 31+17, or 48 points, which is 44 if you subtract off 4.4 and then round it off.

For crying out loud, Madame Wolanda wasn't a friggin' math major. No offense, but you guys are far, too picky. Modifying real world outcomes merely through the use of spiritual powers and inter-dimensional mediums is more art than science. You try winning the Super Bowl with a couple of newt eyes and some crow intestines and see how well you do. First, it's the Who and now Madame Wolanda. Jeez.

Besides, (and I didn't even mention this one): Some of the guys on the Saints team have the number 4 on their jerseys. (Slam Dunk, Baby. Madame Wolanda wins again.)
