College Transfer Question
OK so lets say you live in Iowa your whole life. You go to college for a few years, but decide you want to go back to school in Iowa again. If you move back to Iowa after being a Cali resident for two years, would you have to pay out of state tuition?
Do you pay in school tuition now?
Its for my friend, his parents still live in Iowa. He paid out of state tuition his first year, but his second year he paid in state tuition.
Tell him to get a full-ride scholarship. Then he doesn't have to worry about it.
I think at Emporia State University in Kansas you have to live in state for 6 months or something like that. You will need to call the registrar's office.
If your friend isn't bright enough to figure this out on his own, tell him not to waste his money on a degree.

No shit. Iowa is easy. "A student who was a former resident of Iowa may continue to be considered a resident provided absence from the state was for a period of less than twelve months and provided domicile is reestablished. If the absence from the state is for a period exceeding twelve months, a student may be considered a resident if evidence can be presented showing that the student has long-term ties to Iowa and reestablishes an Iowa domicile." |
My niece got in-state tuition at MU even though her family hadn't lived there for eight years. I guess the previous years living in MO counted for something.
