Pain meds.

My pain clinic doctor changed my meds yesterday. I was taking 7.5 percocet and he changed it to 15mg. Roxycet, I only take one every 12 hours instead of one every 6 hours. The roxycet makes me sick even half of one kinda makes me sick. I understand they are twice as strong but I have been on pain meds long enough you would think I would have a tolerance built up, and sick my reasoning that 1/2 of a roxy would be the same as a 7.5 percocet I would have the same reaction, but no I get sick.

Has anyone on here taken them? How did you react to them if you have.

Have they tried the patches yet?

Same advice as the last airhead asking about pain medicines. Talk to your ****ing doctor.

Well until I go see him next month he isn't going to write me out another pain med prescription.

I'll put this simple:

Medication make you sick = Phone call to doctor

That is surprising they have not. One of the first things they did to my wife. Most pain management tries to avoid pills and try long term stuff like patches.

I'm hoping I won't need them after physical therepy which I started today. The dr told me the pain may last 6 months to a year depending on the damage to the nerve. He said it may be damaged enough that I will never be completely out of pain, which would suck big time. The burning has left my legs, but it seems the hip and back pain is worse.

Sorry, but...

IF THE MEDS MAKE YOU SICK= CALL YOUR DR.

If your Dr will not discuss it, you need a Different Dr.

As for the script, take the remaining meds with you when you see him. If there is the proper #, then he will no you're not abusing them. If there are some missing, then yea he has a reason NOT to change (ie different script)

Ok I will call the dr. damn forgive me for asking a simple ass question. I was just wondering if someone else has taken them if this is a side affect that may leave with time. They work for a longer time period than the percocet, so I figure the less pills the better. 2 pills a day instead of 4 and no tylenol at all, which I like since it saves on the liver.
