Last month, Rosenthal pointed out some stuff about the contract given last year to Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel.

Bottom line? He might only have one more year to turn things around.

And there are some interesting alternatives available, if Cassel can't improve in 2010. For more, we give you PFT Daily.

The way his contract is structured,we can let him go after this year if he sucks ass AGAIN,without it being a massive cap hit.IMO he never should have been the QB brought into a organization that was rebuilding.Usually when you "rebuild" it's because you suck,and you need new players all over the field.It'll take $150 million to put the players around Cassel to make him a good QB so they should cut their losses ASAP.Basically he was a $28(60) million version of Tyler Thigpen.IMO.

Earth shattering. If the Chiefs take Clausen, it would be a signal that they might not be happy with Cassel. WOW. Next he will tell me that if KC drafts Berry then McGraw might not start all 16 games next year.

this is just going to raise hopes and disappoint the cassel haters.

Cassel's contract is structure in such a way that drafting Clausen is a possibility.
The presence of Charlie Weis makes it even more possibly
The less-than-stellar performance by Cassel last year gives even more reason to consider it

Me too,even though I never was very high on Quinn.

Christ, just trade Cassel to that Josh McDaniels team for Marshall (Josh has such a boner for Cassel that he just may bite), trade Brodie for Quinn and draft Clausen and let those two duke it out to see who starts.

I think Quinn can be a good QB in the NFL. He got put into a bad situation in Cleveland. They drafted him and then basically ****ed around with him.
