Did you ever smoke in a store other than a resturaunt?

I remember the local courthouse in my home town had a big ashtray in the elevator. We used to sneak the "discarded" and try to smoke them when we were little.

Well that is a thing of the past. Kansas enacts a state wide smoking ban July 1st.

The ban, which will take effect July 1, will ban smoking in bars, restaurants, libraries, theaters, retail stores and most work places. It overrides weaker bans like Wichita's partial ban.

Supporters contend the restrictions will protect public health and reduce deaths from cancer and other diseases.

Critics argue the limits will hurt businesses. They also note the bill exempts the gambling floors of state-owned casinos as well as tobacco shops, private clubs and designated areas of nursing homes.

Yeah, it's really hurt the Coasts and other parts of the country.

I remember Tim Grunhard once saying that at Arrowhead, on the sides of the lockers there were still two screw holes there from when they used to put ashtrays at each locker. There was a time when players would smoke in there.

And I remember people smoking in malls.

I remember being able to smoke in department stores, K-Mart in particular.

And yea when I went to Liberty HS, we had a designated smoking area on school grounds. Was just outside the lunch room doors & had a Staff member that monitored the area so no one fired up a joint :D

Also like every building I ever went to in Mexico.

Then she graduated to chain smoking in the back room of the pizza hut...LOL.
