Long Hair is GONE! Off to Locks of Love
 

Been growing it out since September of 08 specifically for the purpose of donating it to Locks of Love.

It was a huge pain in the ass and though I will likely not ever do it again, I am glad I did it this time around. The world needs more black headed children. :D

Funny anecdote: I got a haircut about four years ago. I donated the the cut hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths charity (because Locks of Love is a dirty organization; the majority of their donations is not given to kids but sold to commerical wig makers). The amount of hair left on my head after the cut was as long as your hair was, maybe longer.

Metal and I do not get along well. Rockabilly is more my speed.

That said, I had not heard of anything negative about LoL... I know they sell some of the hair they get if it is unusable but I had no idea that they sold the large majority of the donations they get.

I have not mailed in the hair yet... Pantene Beautiful Lenths, eh? I'll look into it.

Gal across the street grows out her hair strictly for LoL. Since we've lived here she's done it about 3 times. She says if it's not at least 12" they don't want it.
