Action 3 in Omaha is reporting that Creighton has hired Iowa State head coach Greg McDermott to the be the new head coach of Creighton.

The deal is worth $9 million over 10 seasons.

Heh, he's bolting back to the MVC. Must've realized he has no ****ing chance to compete in the Big XII. I hope the worst for him.

He was lucky to still have his job at ISU. Probably only did because the school couldn't justify the buyout in this economy.

Haha, this is PERFECT for McDermott! He is a good coach, but the whole ISU thing has been troublesome for him. He has had talent, but it has been so helter skelter if it stays or goes. Everyone has been saying the first moment he had the chance to get back to the MVC he would. Sucks for ISU, but a very good get for Creighton this late in the game.

Hope this is true. He was an abortion at ISU. Drove all the talent away. Had the player of the year in the Big East and drove him away. ISU basketball was a pretty solid program in the 90's. Hope they can bring in someone that can recruit.
