Jamaica... hmmm. I'll wait a while.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worl...udus-Coke.html
At least 60 people have died in Jamaica in a battle between police and a drug gang after police stormed the stronghold of a powerful druglord wanted by the U.S. Thousands of police assaulted the Kingston council estate occupied by heavily armed gangsters as a three-day slum standoff over Christopher 'Dudus' Coke exploded into violence. Hospital sources told the AFP news agency that at least 60 people had died in the fighting. |
Yeah, this isn't gon' be good for da tourism, mon.

It's pretty hard-core there, nothing has really changed.

It's all in Kingston. I wouldn't go to Kingston even when there's not gang wars happening. One of my students (African American) was supposed to go to Kingston in a few weeks for some missionary work. She had no idea that it might be a dangerous place. :spock:

Go to Grand Cayman instead.

Great name for a drug lord though. +1 rep for his mom.

Greece vacations have dropped in prices for anyone interested.

Sandals has a place in Turks and Caicos, and I've wanted to visit Grand Cayman.

Before the baby we would go to Jamaica every year - love it. You just NEVER leave the resort, and you pray the bus doesn't breakdown on the ride from the airport.
