I could've sworn that Rocky Top was a signature Dolly Parton song.

Apparently not. If you look at her top 50 songs in itunes, it's not on there, and if you look up Rocky Top, the biggest sellers of the song are The Osbourne Brothers (not Ozzy), The Charlie Daniels Band, and someone named Lynn Anderson.

I would've bet everything on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire that it was Dolly Parton.

I honestly thought it was John Denver.

I've heard of Lynn Anderson, not the Osbournes.

I honestly had lost too many brain cells to remember who sang it, but I certainly remember the song. The only song I could automatically remember her for was Rose Garden.

Funny, my friend and I were just talking about this. Coincidence?

I think he sang "Rocky Mountain High".

9 to 5, Jolene, Coat of Many Colors, I Will Always Love You, Two Doors Down, Here You Come Again, off the top of my head. . . Guess who Moms listened to LOTS when I was a kid?

And Rose Garden was Lynn Anderson [whom I suspect people are thinking of regarding Rocky Top as well].

I always associate Rocky Top with Ricky Skaggs, but I knew he wasn't the first to sing it, just the one I'd heard the most.

I love bluegrass music so I'm very familiar with the Osbourne Brothers....They are classic Bluegrass. Bobby Osbourne still makes good music today (if you like Bluegrass).
