Predators

Surprised there isn't a dedicated thread on this yet, I looked 10 pages and saw nothing besides Deadpool. Anyways looks amazing to me, I grew up with the first two predators and this movie combines the best of both worlds. A bunch of short videos giving you insight to the different characters as well as actual footage.

And for a little humor. Enjoy.

The movie looks kick ass. But i'll probably wait for the DVD. (**** you, I don't have Blue Ray yet)

I just read that Rodriguez has said its a sequel to Predator 1 and 2. They basically forget those crappy Alien Vs. Predators flicks even exist.

I'm pretty excited for this. If they have a midnight showing I'll have to go. I want to see it with a big crowd.

It's at 100% on RT but with only 5 reviews in. I really hope this is a good movie.

I really don't believe in early reviews, if you read those reviews they're so straight forward that just from the trailers and information I got from IMDB I could piece them together. I think this'll score over 50% in the long run though, not for everyone but a definite improvement over what we've been given for the last decade or so.

Hammock Parties 07-06-2010 03:51 PM

I am getting giddy now.

Couple of good lines.

Beyond its spectacular effects and mega-budget, it's good old fashioned entertainment of the B-movie kind, with a strong premise, nicely drawn characters and ace performances from a team of actors spearheaded by Adrien Brody, that make us give more than a damn.
And they got a damn good composer. Debney scored Passion of the Christ. PUMPED!

It's edge of the seat stuff with John Debney's pounding music score enhancing the massive stunts, superb cinematography, lighting and strong production elements.

8 in and still at 100%

Gravedigger 07-06-2010 11:02 PM

Yeah if you see the site videos you'll notice that in the actual footage clips that are a minute long each, that they use a very similar, if not exactly the same, music score. As well as in the red band trailer they have the glowing eyes. I have a feeling this is gonna be like How To Train Your Dragon, I'll keep telling everyone its a great movie and nobody will believe me.

The director's name is Nimrod, that has to count for something.
