hey i know a few of you guys saw the thread last week asking for advice but the stand up is tomorrow hopefully i will be able to post a video tomorrow night for you guys after it all goes down.

Survive the first minute and you will be fine~

I have tried it 3 times and the first minute is the worst. IMO.

The lights are so bright, that you can't really see the crowd. Especially if you are doing it at Stanfords at Legends... since you can't see anyone, it takes away the stress of it.

I went up a couple weeks ago for the first time since 1998... and it wasn't bad at all. I spoke WAAAAY too fast... plus 3 minutes goes by so fast. Plus, we used to have 5 minutes... and now we have 3... so I was trying to cram it all in.

180 seconds is nothing. I sometimes piss longer than that.

If things start to go south, quickly identify a person of color near the stage and heckle them ruthlessly. People love that.

I think that would be too subtle for a standup routine. :D
