Got a fantasy football question for ya...
Not sure if the Lounge is the right area for this but here goes...
I just found out I got the 4th overall pick in my redraft league. It's 6 pts for all TD's and ppr. Obviously CJ and ADP will be gone with the first two picks but what is everyones opinion on who follows them? Should I go with MJD or Ray Rice depending on who gets picked at #3 or do I go with Brees or Rodgers at the 4 spot? I also think Gore will have a big year this year cause of the upgrades to the O-line and the fact that they get to play the Seahawks, Rams, and Cardinals twice along with the AFC West and our powerhouse run d :( Our starting lineup requirements are 1 QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1 LB, 1DB, 1Flex (RB/WR/TE). Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks |
There is no "right" answer to this question. Just research each guy, think about what will be available when you get to pick again, and ultimately go with your gut.

You should get peyton manning or Jamal charles

I saw go O-line with that 4th pick. Gotta build from the trenches.

People pooh pooh me but the last two years i've gone WR with my first pick.
No, they don't score like a HB but after the top 3 (really 2, Moss and Johnson) there are very few low risk/high output guys. Not only that but it seems like every year there's at least 2 rookies hitting the 1,000 yard mark running the ball. HB's drop off quick and new ones pop up often. |
I would go whoever left, either MJD or Ray Rice

i usually succeed in my fantasy leagues. that being said, i always take a top tier qb if available. brees, manning or even rodgers. i wouldn't go rice or mjd. i'd grab a top tier WR over those two.

I like MJD a lot. But Ray Rice is also a great player. Baltimore is going to have a great O this year, and the addition of Boldin should back the safeties off a little more often and allow Rice to break out more big runs.
If you go the QB route, then take Rodgers IMO. Nothing against Brees. Brees is amazing, but Rodger's upside is INCREDIBLE. |
I'd go best available RB in the 1st round (Ray Rice if he's there) and best available QB in round 2. Great QB's will still be there. RB's aren't the same in fantasy as they were a few years ago but you're still a step ahead if you've got at least one of the studs.

As crazy as it sounds, don't be afraid to Bye stack your roster.
