Fantasy baseball trade advice..
I'm in first in a huge money league.
Today, I was offered: Ryan Braun, Chase Utley, Adam Jones and Johan Santana for: Matt Holliday, Joe Mauer, CC Sabathia. I understand Utley is hurt, but he's back in about 2 weeks. My 2nd base situation is Kelly Johnson right now. I have Buster Posey as my backup C. Would you make this deal? |
No.

I am leaning toward telling him no. Holliday has been great and Mauer is really coming on.
|
I don't think that is enticing at all.
Holliday has been playing well. Sabathia will get you the k's and wins |
If I were in first place I'd be real hesitant to make any moves.
To make a final decision, I'd have to know a lot of other things like what are your margins between gaining a point or more or losing a point or more in each category? What are the margins between this competitor (in particular) gaining points in each category? Even if it helps you out a little bit, you have to look out for it helping him out even more (and thus making up ground on you). Right now, it's not necessarily about making certain that you have the best line up. It's about maximizing your point total while minimizing the point total of your closest competitors... Sorry to be of so little help. Quote:

no, I wouldn't.
|
No.
Mainly because your drop-off at C is greater than your gain at 2B. |
Nope
